I got Animal Crossing: New Horizons in April of 2020, as a gift to go along with the new Nintendo Switch Lite I'd purchased for myself because... quarantine, why else? The only Animal Crossing game I'd ever played before was City Folks on the Wii, and I'd been obsessed with it growing up. I quickly became obsessed with New Horizons, despite its (many) shortcomings - it provided me with an escape during a rough period in my life (my partner and I also started dating around this time which helped me too, haha).

Scoot and Ketchup were some of my first villagers, and I instantly fell in love with them. They were basically my emotional support ducks. I'm still trying to find them for my current island!
