My partner and I met sometime in early January of 2020. Our first DMs to each other were on February 2, 2020. On April 12, 2020, we decided to enter a relationship. At the time I'm writing this, it's been over three years together, and I couldn't be happier.

While we're still long-distance unfortunately (being broke sucks), I still eagerly await the day I get to see her in person. I truly do not know what I would do without her, or where I would be had I never met her. She makes me feel safe enough that I've fallen asleep on call with her after having panic attacks and breakdowns, because just her presence comforts me.

Anyways, this is super cheesy and gushy, but I don't care, I fucking love her!

Some neat facts about my partner:

• She's part of a lore-based Minecraft SMP called the Web SMP, her character goes by Kara and uses a cane (mobility aid user representation, hell yeah!).
• She made a mobility aid texture pack for Minecraft, which is what she uses on the Web SMP. Currently, it only adds canes, but she plans to add more in the future!
• Her name is Samus, a reference to the character from Metroid.
• Technically, we are only together now because I kicked her off my Discord server shortly after meeting (she was in another Discord server that I'd had an argument with someone in and I assumed she would take their side), before this she was planning to leave because she found me offputting... After confronting me and me apologizing and explaining, she chose to stay in the server out of spite, and eventually we ended up developing feelings for each other. Super weird to think about this being the event that led to me dating the love of my life, but I'm glad it happened, I guess!
• She has a Southern accent and it's fucking adorable and makes me swoon.
• She bought me a pig plushie for Christmas in our first year of dating. Said plushie's name is Piggy (I am very creative, I know), and now I can't sleep without her.
• She got me a replica of the mermaid pendant from Stardew Valley for our one-year anniversary, which I now wear every time I go out! Though I dropped the original at one point (it was made of glass, so it broke), it immediately got replaced and the new one is clay, so it shouldn't break if I'm being clumsy. Plus I got her one as well so we match!
• She got me into watching Technoblade, who was her comfort YouTuber. Because of this and the fact that she picked up a lot of his speaking mannerisms, my first impression of Technoblade was "wait this is just the male version of my partner." Which meant I quickly also became obsessed with Technoblade.
• Our relationship started out as a queerplatonic relationship, since we are both on the aromantic spectrum!
• It was also the first relationship I was in since realizing I was asexual (she is too - we're asexual for asexual, trans for trans, and aromantic for aromantic), and she helped me work through a lot of my internalized acephobia.
• While I have DID, the system is collectively dating her - we all agree she's one of the best things to ever happen to us.
