Wrote two new blog posts: Autistic Adulthood , and Goals For the End of 2023 !
2023-09-22
Added a goals page for my current fundraising goal which also lists ways to support me. Added alt-text to all the stamps on the graphics page and added two new ones, including a ferret one made by me. It's wonky, but I'm proud of it still! Fixed up the guestbook a bit so JavaScript widgets display properly, or at least they should. Last but not least, made some minor layout improvements to the main pages and added a new logo for the site.

Wrote a new blog post ! Trying out posting the blog stuff on bearblog instead of directly onto this website. Also added a new template ! Also added new stamps . Added back Eleventy tutorial (I was honestly too tired to reformat it before but now it's back and old links to it will redirect to the current post as well).

Added new guestbook and a bookmarks page using code from Owl's Roost . Moved all resource links except my own over to the bookmarks page. Added light/dark mode based on browser preferences. Removed GoatCounter analytics, as I've decided I want to avoid the social media trap of getting too focused on my site views. Added a poetry page . Added some new site buttons . Added dropdowns for sections with lots of links. Edited headings so they hopefully don't look too weird on zoom. Edited manifesto a bit.

Added new poll. Started using PHP includes for some of the stuff I'd previously been using Eleventy to do. Overhauled theme. Changed some JavaScript functions to PHP functions. Updated system page . Added links to Spacehey account.

Added new resources, including a new section for LGBTQ+ resources. Added my first template, which is based on the current code this site uses. Added art page and art gallery, which currently contains some of my art from 2022-2023. Updated some colors in CSS to have better contrast. Added footer. Added Eleventy and Leprd.space to credits page. Added OpenDyslexic and Atkinson Hyperlegible to font selector. Added counter to partner page showing how long (approximately) we've been together, might be making calculations a little weirdly right now so I'll have to go edit that later. Added videos page (can't remember when I actually did this but I forgot to put it in an update apparently). I think that should be it for today?

Moved website over to leprd.space and added redirects to Neocities pages. Moved webrings to sidebar. Added iMood. Updated webgarden pot and webgarden pots page.

Revamped site layout again because apparently adding so many tabs on the same page slowed it down a TON, added system page, and am now using the first layout for this site that I made entirely on my own (we're not counting the first one).

Fixed up some CSS, moved webrings to sidebar, edited sidebar, added fanlisting buttons, added some new site buttons.

Started using Eleventy (a static site generator) to edit site content and stitch things like sidebars, etc. together without needing to repeat the code over and over again in like 20 different files! In addition, this means my blog no longer needs to use (as much) JavaScript, and I've got a post up summarizing, to the best of my ability, how it works!

New site theme, and now I have an actual blog at last! My first post is a short one about web accessibility. Also, I've been adding a bunch of website buttons when I come across them, and I've added new pots to the webgarden. Let me know if you'd like to exchange buttons or webgarden pots! Also: removed the whole "this website is a WIP so if it looks unfinished that's why" bit from the homepage, I don't think it looks unfinished at this point! Cleaned up CSS code, added page regions to main page, added skip to main content link for screenreaders and mobile users (because otherwise this massive sidebar displays first and it's a bit long), added some missing alt text (will finish that up tomorrow), added form labels. Will add the page regions and skip to main content button on other pages tomorrow.

Haven't written out an update entry in a while but recently I've removed French translation of homepage (made code a little too messy, may add it back or add French pages at some point), added Mastodon feed, added page for my in-development Twine interactive fiction game The Last Time I Died, added Artbreeder images of TLTID characters (I plan to commission non-AI artwork of them at some point in the future), updated resources page, moved chatbox to its own page, added site navigation links to homepage so you no longer need the directory to get around, moved site buttons and buttons in general to their own pages, and added Tamanotchi to pets section.

Added new buttons, added "ads" for Neocities websites and other personal websites, added information on how to disable GIFs autoplaying in your browser at the top of the homepage. Added new site button. Added working French translation to the homepage.

Added blinkies and hexagon stamps to graphics page. Added disclaimer about the importance of crediting artists there, too. Removed status.cafe widget. Worked very hard on optimizing the site so it would load faster. Worked on page for my partner, now it not only holds her links but it's also got a little thing about how we met, a Spotify playlist I made for her, and its own colour theme and graphics (which can be clicked on to view their source)!

Revamped site theme based on a template from Eggramen (site is now mobile friendly, or at least, it should be, and contrast of text against the background should now meet AAA standards). Added directory and graphics pages. Made pride cursor bi pride-themed.
